more work from my creative quarantine adventures

It’s interesting how some ideas or thoughts planted during childhood can stick around well into your later years.

This piece is a window into my elementary school years as a lanky kid trying to fit in by dimming both my light and my height. But more importantly, it’s a story of how something as simple as wearing a certain pair of shoes can confirm that you’ve overcome or driven through a mental roadblock.

When I bought these Docs over the summer, I laughed a little at myself; There’s a version of me from ages ago who didn’t enjoy being tall and definitely wasn’t in the market for bonus inches. Watch the video, then let me know what you think. And if you’re feeling froggy, share what your version of this story is with me. We all had to grow out of something before we grew into ourselves.

Written, shot (photos & video), and edited by me.
